PREPARING FOR YOUR BABY’s

6-7 Month MILESTONE SESSION

SIX MONTH SITTER TIPS

Please ARRIVE ON TIME! 30 minutes or more late will be cancelled. I usually have other tasks or sessions in the afternoon so late arrivals will not have time extended beyond the session end time.

A Baby 'Sitter session' captures a special milestone in your baby’s first year. It's a celebration around 6-7 months when your little one has learned to 'sit up' all on his/her own. Baby Sessions can last up to 1 hour and can be held in studio or outdoor (i.e. fruit bath) if summer weather permits. Please note, I do keep setups simple (no themes) so to keep the focus on your little one. By now the questionnaire in your client portal should be complete. Your responses will give me an idea of how to style your session.

*Immediately, after the session is over, there is an appointment to review and choose your photos. This takes an additional hour or less. As a reminder, balance payment for your package is due 1 day before your session. Payment for any additional items ordered at the review appointment such as albums, mini books, canvases, and prints are due the same day of the order. Please be sure to check your portal’s ‘links section’ for the full price guide ahead of time to have a general idea of what you may want to order.

What to bring:

-Up to 2 outfits and email Lisa a picture of them about a week before the session.  This will help me decide on a color scheme, choose simple props, and prepare the coordinating backdrops for your baby a couple days prior to arrival. I suggest your baby wear neutral tones with solid colors or simple patterns. Avoid neon colors, cheesy quotes, designer logos, and busy patterns as they will only detract from your baby's sweet face.

-Diapers, wipes, milk, sippy cup, and/or baby snacks so long as they don’t contain bright colored dyes that will stain hands and clothes.

-Favorite toy, familiar children's songs or videos on your mobile phone are also suggested.

Note: While I encourage peek-a-boo and other simple, fun games to invoke natural emotion, please DO NOT try to force your baby to sit still or smile.  It will only make him/her upset.  Please allow me to interact with your child unless I request your assistance.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to capture these precious moments in time for your family.  It truly means the world to me and I know your photographs will create unforgettable memories for generations to come.  Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to make our time together go smoothly.
