I remember the moment I got the call. "Hey Lisa, this is Pat's friend Marcel, would you be willing to take photos of my wife and I tomorrow?" TOMORROW! "Marcel, let me call you back in 30 minutes" I said. I finished some tasks, checked my schedule and luckily I was free. After calling back and talking with Marcel for a bit, I had it in my mind that we'd just be taking a few fun shots. Then he passed the phone to Sita so I could give her directions. Well, Sita had several questions and with those came the realization that this beautiful couple would be soon renewing their vows. For their session, they wanted not only casual shots but also formal shots in their actual wedding attire! "Just a few for now" they said. Excited. yet nervous I agreed to do the shoot. This would be my first wedding shoot near water and I had a few concerns. I hurried down to my studio to make sure I had everything I'd need. I found some props which had been packed away, dusted off my macro lens, charged up my batteries, packed my equipment, and had a quick call with my mentor. Whew! On the following day, all turned out well and we had an absolute blast laughing and joking during and in between shots.
Marcel and Sita, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these beautiful moments for you. It was a pleasure spending time with you!
